Description

The Japanese Garden Cafe and Sculpture Garden is an unbuilt project I designed during graduate school. The project is located at what is presently an asphalt paved area adjacent to the entry gate of the Japanese Garden in Portland, Oregon. The intent of the project is to provide a place where visitors can relax and enjoy refreshments and view sculpture either before or after they tour the main garden. The new building and its associated gardens is also meant to repair an area that is now an unattractive asphalt paved lot.
