Description
Salad spoons? Yes, salad spoons! And why not? I love small, discrete design and craft challenges. I also feel very strongly that the objects in our daily lives, even the small things, should be beautiful, well crafted, and a pleasure to use. These utensils had their origin as the very first double-sided object that I milled using a CNC (double-sided means that one side is milled, then the piece is flipped to mill the other side). The result of this experiment was a set of spoons (I guess one is kind of a spork) that are both visually and physically sleek and well balanced... and indeed a pleasure to use. Maple was chosen as it is recognized as being one of the most benign woods to use for foodware and the finish is flax seed oil.
